Belarusian coach Viktor Goncharenko is a very good choice for Neftchi club.
This opinion was expressed by Dmitri Kramarenko, the goalkeeping coach of the Moscow CSKA club, who also worked in the same position in the Azerbaijani national team and in the past played for Neftchi as both a football player and a coach, in an interview with Idman.Biz.
Kramarenko started working at the Moscow club in 2021. At that time, Viktor Goncharenko, who, according to Russian media, was one of the main candidates for the head coach position of Neftchi, was in charge of CSKA.
"Viktor Mikhailovich is a very good and demanding expert, he knows his job perfectly. His philosophy is modern combination football. The material the coach will work with - the team's potential - is very important. If his invitation takes place and the management fulfills all his conditions, as well as gives him time, the result will definitely be there," Kramarenko said.
In his opinion, it will not be difficult for Viktor Goncharenko to quickly adapt to Azerbaijani football.
"In recent years, Russian specialists Murad Musaev and Vasili Berezutski have made a good impression in our championship. Therefore, everything should fit here in terms of mentality. I think the adaptation will pass very quickly. Therefore, I think that Viktor Goncharenko is a very good option for Neftchi," Kramarenko emphasized.
The Moscow CSKA goalkeeping coach also commented on the situation in the Neftchi club in general.
"In the last ten years, probably since the time I worked there - Neftchi has changed a lot of coaches, both local and foreign. I think there should be a synthesis between the club president and the head coach in the team. There should be clear instructions from the management, a professional coaching staff and adequate financial resources to acquire quality football players.
It is also important that professionals in their field work in every position in the club. I wish Neftchi to achieve such a balance, then there will be results," Kramarenko added.
