Today, Diogo Jota, the forward of "Liverpool" and the Portuguese national team, and his brother Andre Silva, who played for "Penafiel," were buried.
Idman.biz reports that the ceremony took place in the cemetery of Gondomar, the city where the football players grew up.
The football players died in a car accident: the "Liverpool" forward's car went off the road and caught fire, and they could not get out.
The funeral ceremony was attended by "Liverpool" players and Jota's teammates in the Portuguese national team. Ruben Neves and Joao Cancelo arrived from the USA less than 24 hours after the quarter-final match of the Club World Cup against Al-Hilal. Before the said match, during a minute of silence in memory of Jota and his brother, the players could not hold back their tears. Neves carried Jota's coffin as one of his closest friends.
It should be noted that the head coach of the Azerbaijani national team, Fernando Santos, also attended the funeral ceremony.
