Former Romanian national team player Ionel Dančiulesku spoke about Mircea Lučescu's health. Sport24.az reports that he made a statement to "Digi Sport":
According to Dančiulesku, the Romanian Football Federation was aware that the specialist's health was not at the desired level:
"I don't have complete information about the situation. In my opinion, before the play-off games, the federation was well aware that Mr. Lučescu's condition was far from optimal. It was clear that the situation was difficult, and in such circumstances, appropriate plans had to be made.
I believe that Mr. Mircea Lučescu should not have participated in the games against Turkey and Slovakia. This is obvious. The defeat to Turkey worsened the situation even more. That's why he is in this condition now."
It should be noted that Lučescu was put on a ventilator yesterday.
