Portuguese national team striker Cristiano Ronaldo spoke about Spanish striker Lamine Yamal after the victory in the Nations League final (2:2, 5:3 pens.). Sport24.az reports that the Portuguese star made a statement to Mundo Deportivo about this:
"He will win many titles both as a team and individually. He is only 17 years old... I repeat, he has great potential to grow. He is a phenomenon, but he needs to be left alone now. I ask for that. He has a long career ahead of him and he will probably win the Nations League several times."
It should be noted that although the Spanish national team reached the final of the Nations League for the 3rd time, they left the field disappointed for the 2nd time. Portugal, in turn, has become the winner of this tournament for the second time. The Portuguese won their first victory in the Nations League in 2019.
