"There were no misunderstandings or personal problems between my former team "Quba" and me. I left the club with good impressions. We simply couldn't reach a common ground in terms of finance. Since the contract terms were not suitable for both parties, we decided to part ways by mutual agreement."
Idman.biz reports that Cavid Imamverdiyev said these words in an interview with futbolinfo.az.
The 35-year-old football player, who has agreed with "Shaki," emphasized that his goals with his new team are high. He states that the main goal is the championship:
"Our goal together with my new team is only the championship. The club management, coaches, and football players are all united around this goal. We know that difficult games and intense struggles await us. But we are ready to fight to the end. I will also try to be as useful as possible to my team on the field. One of the important issues for me is to be an example for young football players. I have always tried to share my experience with them, to support them on the field and in training. I will do my best for the young people to move forward and develop. I believe that this unity and solidarity will lead us to success."
Imamverdiyev said that despite being in the last years of his career, he is not thinking about leaving football; on the contrary, he still has a great desire to play:
"Football is an integral part of my life. It is very difficult for people who love football and live with this sport to leave it. I am still continuing my football career and intend to be on the field to the maximum extent in the coming seasons. As it is known, the age limit has already been removed in our championship. This means an extra chance for football players. So, the age factor is not as important as before, the main thing is physical fitness and approach to the game. I also try to stay in shape and benefit my team. I will continue to play as long as I can. After my football career ends, my plan is to work as a coach. Because I have no intention of staying away from this sport. Football is my lifestyle, and I want to work in this field until the end."
