Who will be the new head coach of the national team? Sport24.az reports that this question still remains open. Although there are only a few days left until the next game of the team, it is still unknown who will lead the country's main team.
We reported the day before yesterday that Aykhan Abbasov did not accept AFFA's condition. We stated that Abbasov, who performed the function of head coach in the match with Ukraine, can take the national team to the next 4 games only if a full-fledged contract is signed with him. Otherwise, the 44-year-old specialist does not want to take on a heavy burden.
According to the information received by our editorial office from a reliable source, negotiations between the association and Abbasov are ongoing and should be completed in the near future. If an agreement is not reached between the parties, the AFFA leadership will start looking for a new head coach.
Our source also stated that if it is not possible to reach a common denominator with Aykhan bey, the officials responsible for the country's football will invite a foreign specialist "behind the wheel" again.
