A "Brighton" fan has received a 5-match ban for wearing a Palestine team jersey.
İdman.biz reports that Roger Wade, a season ticket holder and founder of the "Boxfresh" shoe brand, has announced that he was punished for Palestinian symbols.
In the 1st round of the Premier League, "Brighton" drew 1:1 at home with "Fulham". During the break, Wade was removed from the stadium without any explanation.
In response to a written request, the club informed him that he had been banned from the stadium for the next 5 matches for wearing the Palestinian national team jersey at the game.
Earlier, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated that if Israel does not take concrete steps to allow humanitarian aid to enter the Gaza Strip and confirm its commitment to a two-state solution, they may recognize the Palestinian state at the UN General Assembly in September.
