Grimaldo moved from Benfica to Bayer Leverkusen for 25 million euros in the summer of 2023. This season, he has played 15 games in all competitions for the German club, scoring seven goals and providing four assists. He has also played 11 games for the Spanish national team. Transfermarkt estimates his transfer value at 30 million euros.
