"Barcelona" management wanted striker Robert Lewandowski to score fewer goals in the 2022/2023 season because they didn't want to pay a bonus to "Bavaria" for the Polish striker.
Idman.Biz reports that this is according to Sport.es, citing the book "Lewandowski: The Real Story."
The book says that the "Barcelona" management, including president Joan Laporta, asked the striker not to score too many goals, because otherwise the Catalan club would have to pay "Bavaria" 2.5 million euros. This conversation took place after "Barcelona" won La Liga. By the end of the season, the striker had scored 23 goals in the national championship.
