"Barcelona" has finalized negotiations with Espanyol's 24-year-old goalkeeper, Joan Garcia. All terms of a 5-year contract with the goalkeeper have been agreed upon. Sport24.az reports that insider Fabrizio Romano shared this information on the X social network (formerly Twitter).
According to the source, the Catalan representative will pay 25 million euros to the opposing side next week. As soon as the funds are transferred to "Espanyol"'s account, the transfer will be officially announced.
It should be noted that 24-year-old Garcia is an Olympic champion as part of the Spanish national team. Last season, the goalkeeper appeared in 38 matches in all tournaments, conceding 51 goals. Joan was the goalkeeper with the most saves (146) in La Liga during the 2024/25 "football year".
