This will increase the spectator capacity of "Spotify Camp Nou", the home stadium of "blaugrana", from 45,000 to 62,000.
If the city council approves this decision, the first game after the capacity increase will be held in the 21st round of the Spanish La Liga, and the Catalan club will face "Oviedo" here on January 25, 2026.
After 18 games played in the Spanish league, "Barcelona" has 46 points and leads the tournament table. The club is four points ahead of its closest rival, "Real Madrid".
