The Spanish club lost its appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) against a £420,000 fine imposed by UEFA for irregularities in financial statements. The CAS ruling in October 2024 stated that the Catalans would face even heavier sanctions if this happened again.
According to the source, "Barcelona" is "stuck" again for violating the rules. The latest champion of La Liga could face restrictions on the number of players they can register for the Champions League in the 2025/26 season. In addition, points could be deducted from the team's score in the overall stage of the league.
