The international "Baku Cup" tournament dedicated to the memory of Anatoli Banishevsky, the legend of Azerbaijani football and the unforgettable "Number 9", has ended with the joint organization of "Neftchi" and the Russian club "Dinamo" (Moscow). Sport24.az reports that 4 matches were held on the last day of the tournament among football players born in 2015, held at the "Palms Sports" Football Center.
In the match for 7th place, "Neftchi" defeated "Goztepe" (Turkey) with a score of 4:1. In the match for 5th place, "Besiktas" (Turkey) defeated "Ulduz" with the same score.
Voronezh "Dinamo" (Russia), which defeated "Qarabag" with a score of 3:1, took 3rd place, and "Dinamo" (Moscow), which defeated "Kayrat" (Kazakhstan) with a score of 1:0, took 1st place.
After the final match, the national anthems of the countries participating in the tournament were played. Then, the chief executive director of "Neftchi" Cenk Sumer, the director of the "Dinamo" (Moscow) Football Academy Aleksandr Kuznetsov and other officials spoke. Later, the wife of the legendary football player Anatoli Banishevsky, Inna Banishevskaya, and other guests were presented with souvenirs.
At the award ceremony, the "Award for the Will to Win" was given to "Neftchi" football player Salman Salimov, and the "Best Football Player" award was given to Maksim Krutskikh, a member of Voronezh "Dinamo".
The "Best Goalkeeper" award was presented to Ponteley Morinichev ("Dinamo", Moscow), "Best Defender" Aleksandr Volodin ("Dinamo", Moscow), "Best Midfielder" Aleksandr Aksyonov ("Dinamo", Voronezh), "Best Striker" Radmir Shtanko ("Kayrat", Almaty), and "Best Football Player" Abylay Temirbulatova ("Kayrat", Almaty).
Voronezh "Dinamo" received bronze, Almaty "Kayrat" received silver, and Moscow "Dinamo" received the cup and gold medals.
