"If we had shown a more responsible game in the final moments of the match, we wouldn't have lost." These words were said by "Qarabagh" footballer Bahlul Mustafazade in his statement to Sport24.az.
The defender commented on the match in the final of the Azerbaijan Cup, where they lost to "Sabah" (2:3):
"We lost because of our own mistakes. The fans witnessed an interesting match. Unfortunately, we were so close to making a "golden double", but we missed the chance. We need to learn from such a disappointing defeat."
He said that the chief referee of the match, Inqilab Mammadov, showed sympathy for the opposing team in certain episodes:
"Frankly, I haven't watched the replays of the episodes. However, in certain episodes, it was felt that the referee had sympathy for the opponent. However, we do not want to overshadow the opponent's victory. But I think there could have been better refereeing."
