The experienced player, who participated in matches with Saint Lucia and Sierra Leone, became the third football player with the most appearances for the Azerbaijan national team.
Huseynov had participated in 78 matches for the national team before this tournament.
The defender, who brought the number of games to 80, surpassed former goalkeeper Kamran Agayev (79). Aslan Karimov also has 80 matches in his account.
Currently, the record belongs to Rashad Sadigov - 111 games. Maksim Medvedev (81 games) is in second place.
