Holding the Azerbaijan Cup final match early will coincide with the time when clubs are in peak form.
"Report" reports that this was stated by the technical and sports director of the PFL, Elgiz Abbasov, in his statement to journalists after the draw ceremony.
He emphasized that the teams will get more rest:
"First of all, we must emphasize the victory of "Qarabagh". We congratulate every employee of the club. The Azerbaijan Cup will be held with the participation of 34 teams. The teams will join the competition in stages. The final game of the Cup will be held on May 13, 2 rounds before the end of the Azerbaijan championship. There is a reason for this. The game will coincide with the time when the teams will be in intense and peak form. At the same time, they will have more opportunity to rest before the games of the national teams".
