"Of course, the opponent is strong. "Newcastle" is a representative of the strongest championship in the world. Therefore, "Qarabag" is waiting for a difficult game." Arif Asadov said this in an interview with Sport24.az.
The experienced expert shared his expectations from the match against "Newcastle" in the play-off stage of the Champions League:
"Of course, it is not correct to compare their and our championship. But we are playing at home. Fan support is our advantage. Our representative has a well-established team and game plan. They know better what they want to do as a team. I have watched the opponent's matches. They prefer dynamic play. In terms of understanding, it is felt that there are still problems. They leave gaps in defense when attacking. "Qarabag" can beat "Newcastle" at home or draw. The away match will be very difficult.
Asadov said that the losses in the opponent's squad will not be decisive:
"The losses in the opponent's squad cannot be decisive. "Newcastle" is an English club and they have two teams of equal level, and the players can always replace each other properly. When you look at their games in the championship, they perform unstably. They have had many defeats recently. There is pressure on the team. If "Qarabag" wins against "Newcastle", a change in the opponent's head coach position is inevitable."
