"Araz-Nakhchivan"'s opponent in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League, "Aris", has a history of 111 years.
"Report" informs that the team, whose name is described as the god of war in ancient Greek mythology, was founded in 1914.
The team's colors are yellow and black, taken from the Byzantine Empire (or Eastern Roman Empire), which was located in the area of the city of Thessaloniki in ancient times.
"Aris", whose nickname is "God of War", has been the champion of Greece 3 times in its history (1945/1946, 1931/1932, 1927/1928 seasons). In addition, the team also won the national cup once (1969/1970 season).
"Aris" plays its home games at the "Kleantis Vikelidis" stadium with natural grass cover, which has been operating since 1951 and has a capacity of 22,800 fans.
The team, which finished the 2024/2025 season in fifth place under the leadership of head coach Marinos Uzunidis, is currently ranked 195th in the UEFA club ranking.
