The President of the Ukrainian Football Association and "Milan" legend Andriy Shevchenko believes that Lionel Messi is the best footballer in history. He stated this in an interview with "Sky Sports":
"Is Messi the best footballer in history? For me, yes. He plays in a different era than Pele and Maradona, but Messi is everything, he is a symbol of Argentina. He is a legend, one of the best of all time. We compare him with Pele and Maradona.
It is difficult to find a footballer who can dribble and score goals like Messi. He is the perfect prototype of the 21st-century striker. He cannot even be squeezed into one position. He is everywhere and constantly puts defenders in a difficult position."
It should be noted that Messi is the world record holder for the number of "Golden Balls". The Argentine has eight such awards.
