Defender Alvaro Carreras has moved from Benfica to Real Madrid. Sport24.az reports that insider Fabrizio Romano reported this on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
According to the source, Real Madrid has scheduled a medical examination for the 22-year-old football player, and Benfica has confirmed the transfer.
It was previously reported in the press that the deal would be worth 50 million euros. However, the Royal Club was able to agree to pay in several stages instead of a one-time payment of compensation under the contract.
It should be noted that Carreras played in 52 matches in all tournaments last season, scored 4 goals and provided 5 assists.
