– Yes, we are ready. We have prepared excellently for the new season. As can be seen from the results of our test matches, we have had a good preparation process. I can confidently say that we have a strong team.
– You will be a guest of "Neftchi" in the first round. How do you assess the chances? Will you be able to start the league with a victory?
– I respect "Neftchi", it is a good club, they have also prepared well for the new season. But for us, the first game is very important. Because this game will determine which direction we will take. It is necessary to start the championship well. We are fully focused on the match with "Neftchi" and we are ready for this competition.
– A lot of players left "Shamakhi" this summer, and many new ones were transferred in their place. How have the changes in the squad affected your team? Has "Shamakhi" become stronger or weaker compared to last season?
– We have a good team. The coaching staff has made excellent choices in the matter of new transfers. We have been together every day since the start of the inter-season preparation process and we have gotten to know each other and how we play more closely. Therefore, I can say that "Shamakhi" is stronger now and fully ready for the season.
– What will be the goal of your team in the new season? What places will you be able to compete for?
– Of course, every time you start a new season, the team has a goal. This season, our main goal is to perform better compared to last season. We will do our best for this.
– After the departure of players like Brahim Konate and Leroy Mikels, you will be one of the main leaders of the team. Will you be able to carry out this mission?
– Of course, I will be able to carry it out. As you know, Mikels and Konate had a good season last season. They are quality and excellent players. For me, this season is a season to show myself. I already have experience in the Azerbaijan Premier League, so I am ready to have a good season and help my team score points.
– There are many young local football players in your team. Do you share your experience and knowledge with them in training?
– Yes, I have spoken with them. Each of them is a quality and good player. As far as I can see, they have a desire to win victories and have a good season. They are fully ready for the competition and I am happy for them.
