Aleksey Savinov: "Petrocub" has a high chance of a comeback against "Sabah"

An interview with Aleksey Savinov, who lived as a legionnaire in Azerbaijan for many years, former captain of "Baku" and the Moldovan national team, for Sportal.az

- Did you believe that "Petrocub" would achieve a successful result in the match against "Sabah"?

- Of course, I believed that "Petrocub" would achieve a successful result. Even in the current situation, I believe that "Petrocub" will pass the stage. I know that "Petrocub" will not easily surrender to "Sabah". Because they are a team with a strong character. The return match will also be interesting.

- "Sabah" will continue its participation in the Conference League by losing to "Celje" in the qualifying stage of the Europa League. Expectations from them are high. What do you think about this? Did you like "Sabah"?

- "Sabah" should be congratulated on the successful result on the road. They did not concede a goal in the match against "Petrocub". This shows that "Sabah" is a well-organized team. They scored two goals and took good advantage of the individual mistakes of "Petrocub" players. This means that the right strategy has been built and players with high individual skills are playing in the attacking position.

- How do you think, will "Petrocub" be able to make a comeback in the match against "Sabah" in Baku?

- I am sure that it is too early for "Sabah" to relax. I repeat that "Petrocub" is a team with character. I believe that they will fight until the end.

- What is your prediction for the match in Baku?

- I don't like to make predictions. But I will repeat what I said earlier. I am sure that "Petrocub" is better prepared for the away match and will fight to the end.

- If "Petrocub" does not qualify for the next stage, how will this be received in Moldova?

- Of course, this will not be considered a good result. The team has achieved successful results in European Cups before. The expectations of the fans are also different. I am sure that the club management, the coaching staff and the players themselves will not be happy if they do not go further. "Sabah" is the favorite before the return match. However, "Petrocub" is capable of a comeback.
