The extension of 40-year-old forward Cristiano Ronaldo's contract with Al-Nassr may not happen.
According to Lent.az, the reason for this is the team's recent results, as well as the Saudi club's management's dissatisfaction with the Portuguese footballer's behavior after losing games.
According to reports, the parties had previously agreed to extend the employment contract for two years, but this deal was jeopardized after Al-Nassr's defeat (2:3) in the semi-finals of the Asian Champions League against Japan's Kawasaki Frontale. It is emphasized that the expectations of the Saudi club's leaders regarding Ronaldo's help in winning trophies have not been met.
In addition, Al-Nassr's management did not like the 40-year-old footballer's reaction to the defeat in the 30th round of the Saudi Arabian Championship against Al-Ittihad (2:3). Immediately after the end of the game, Ronaldo angrily left the stadium.
