The match between "Ajax" and "Groningen" in the 14th round of the Eredivisie was suspended due to the use of pyrotechnics by fans of the Amsterdam team in the stands. Sport24.az reports that the game lasted only five minutes.
After an initial 40-minute break, the referee brought the teams back onto the field, but immediately after the game was resumed, the fans started using pyrotechnics again and throwing them onto the field.
As a result, the referee decided to remove the teams from the field again for safety reasons. After the second break, the match was permanently suspended.
According to local media, the fans put on such a "show" in memory of a recently deceased fan.
It should be noted that the Netherlands Football Association announced that the match will be held without fans on December 2nd.
