Aghasalim Mirjavadov: "Players need character"

Aghasalim Mirjavadov said this to idman.biz while talking about the Azerbaijan national team.

The expert shared his thoughts before the match against Hungary as part of an international friendly game. He said that a victory is important for our team today in terms of psychological factor and motivation: "A successful result must be achieved in the match with Hungary so that our players can perform confidently and have high morale in the qualifying matches of the world championship. After the championship ends, the physical condition of most players is at a low level. Currently, players need character to fight on the field."

Mirjavadov also emphasized that the Azerbaijan national team under 21 lacks the necessary game practice: "Clubs fighting for the championship give young players little chance. This negatively affects the player's professional development. I always tell the players to go abroad and live as legionnaires. Development is there. There is a good atmosphere in U-21, the players are eager. The coaching staff has a high mood and belief in victory. However, all this is not enough because the player comes to the team from the club. In any case, for the development of football at the national level, the coaching staff must always be in close contact with the clubs. Players must be kept in focus."
