Yusif Abdullayev, fan liaison coordinator of the Competition Organization Department of AFFA, shared his views on participating in the European Football Fan Congress-2025 (EFFC) held in Malmö, Sweden.
He made a statement about this to "Report".
Y. Abdullayev stated that the event was organized at a high level:
"The EFFC-2025 event was very important in terms of developing fan policy, exchanging experiences, and representing Azerbaijan in international platforms. Our participation here will contribute to our work in improving the fan experience in our country, increasing the accessibility of stadium infrastructure, and strengthening relations with fans. The event brought together fan representatives from various European countries, representatives of football federations and club leaders, as well as other interested parties, covering the future of supporter culture, inclusiveness, safety and many other issues. Babek Agalarov, a fan of the Azerbaijani national team with physical disabilities, attended the event with me and became aware of the events in European football experience."
According to him, at the opening session on June 26, the chairman of the organization, Ronan Evain, talked about the work they have done in fan experiences over the past year and that they are in the development stage:
"The event also discussed topics such as the participation of fans in the decision-making process, football being open to diversity and inclusiveness, security and the protection of minors. In addition, practical solutions were presented regarding the challenges faced by fans with disabilities, inclusive stadiums and effective communication strategies. There was also an opportunity to communicate directly with organizations such as Football Supporters Europe (FSE) and other international partners."
