Adil Shukurov: We want the victory to be sustainable and everyone should do their best

"Every success the team achieves close to the final stage is pleasant for everyone." These words were said to Sport24.az by the head coach of "Sabail", Adil Shukurov.

The expert shared his thoughts on the match in the 17th round where they defeated "Jabrayil" with a score of 4:1:

"Of course, we want this victory to be sustainable, and for this, everyone as a team should try to do their best. I think that all members of the team understand their responsibilities and realize that they are strong enough to cope with this task. Of course, not all players who appear on the field may have the chance to score a goal during the game. However, it is everyone's duty to make the most of the opportunity that comes their way. Because when a goal is scored, the whole team has a share in that goal. I think that the result recorded in the last game will increase the players' self-confidence."

According to Shukurov, it is difficult to predict in advance which match the teams in the First League will win points in or which game they will lose points in:

"Anything can change at any moment in a three-point race. Just as everyone thought some time ago that the "Shahdag Gusar" team would fight to stay in the league. After the recent interviews and new transfers to the team, we are already seeing them playing to rise to the elite. It is necessary to continue the fight until the end. It has happened a lot in the First League that no one doubted that any team would become the champion with 5-6 rounds to go. But in the end, a team that no one expected won a ticket to the Premier League."

It should be noted that after 17 rounds, "Sabail", with 30 points in its asset, is in the 4th place of the tournament table.
