A representative of Russian businessman Roman Abramovich has denied reports that the former Chelsea president intends to buy Turkish club Galatasaray.
Idman.Biz previously reported, citing Turkish media, that Galatasaray's assets cannot be sold to individuals or foreign investors, as the club is currently under the management of the foundation.
"This information is not true. Mr. Abramovich is not buying or investing in any football clubs," the businessman's representative told Championat.
It is worth recalling that the Turkish newspaper Sözcü previously reported that Abramovich was planning to acquire a controlling stake in the Turkish giants.
Abramovich became the owner of London's Chelsea club in 2003. In May 2022, the businessman sold the club to a consortium led by American investor Todd Boehly.
