Ukraine cannot receive the funds from the sale of "Chelsea". The reason is the court case between Roman Abramovich and the government of the island of Jersey and the seizure of his assets.
Idman.Biz, referring to the British publication "The Telegraph", reports that in April 2022, the Royal Court of Jersey froze Abramovich's assets in the amount of approximately 5.3 billion pounds sterling (12.1 billion AZN) and launched a criminal investigation.
It was previously reported that Ukraine could only receive a portion of the 922.9 million pounds sterling (2.1 billion AZN), which is considered a net profit of 2.35 billion pounds sterling (5.36 billion AZN).
Abramovich was forced to sell "Chelsea" in 2022 as a result of sanctions.
