In the sixth round, the Azerbaijani chess player defeated Turkish Gülenay Aydın. This was Fataliyeva's fourth and second consecutive victory in the tournament. She will face Spaniard Sabrina Gutierrez in the seventh round.
Other Azerbaijani chess players Gunay Mammadzada and Govhar Beydullayeva scored 4 points each. They are in 23rd and 38th places, respectively. Other representatives of Azerbaijan performed weaker and took the middle ranks of the tournament table.
