Semifinal fights in boxing competitions within the framework of the III CIS Games were held at the Yevlakh Olympic Sports Complex.
A "Report" employee seconded to the competition reports that Azerbaijani boxer Gardash Rahimov (46 kg) defeated Tajik Damir Nazarov (3:2) and reached the final.
Another Azerbaijani boxer, Shahin Aslanov, competing in the semi-final in the 60 kg weight category, was superior to Russian Dmitry Klyushnikov - 4:1.
Another Azerbaijani boxer, Safdar Mammadzadeh (+80 kg), defeated Kazakh Yerketang Zharkynbek (5:0) and secured a place in the final.
Ali Aliyev (48 kg) was superior to another Kazakh representative, Baltin Korganbek - 3:2.
In another semi-final match, Azerbaijani athlete Ali Abasli (52 kg) defeated Turkmen Khangeldi Lukmanov - 5:0.
Thus, 5 Azerbaijani boxers qualified for the final.
It should be noted that the final matches among male boxers will be held on October 5.
