Azerbaijani basketball is on the right track.
According to "Report", this was stated by Vitali Stepanovski, head coach of the "Neftchi" basketball club, at a press conference.
The experienced specialist shared his thoughts on the FIBA European Cup main stage game in which they defeated "Absheron Lions":
"I congratulate our entire team and fans on the victory. We tried to slow down the pace of the game by playing defensively. It wasn't that successful for us towards the end. Jamal Bey and Stefan Kenic had just returned from injury and had a good match. We made a lot of mistakes at first, but later we eliminated these mistakes. It is very important for Azerbaijani clubs to be represented in the FIBA European Cup tournament. This also shows that Azerbaijani basketball is on the right track".
It should be noted that the match "Absheron Lions" - "Neftchi" ended with a score of 104:86 in favor of the "white-blacks".
