"Sumgayit" team won a determined victory over "Guba" in the Azerbaijan Basketball League.
Idman.Biz reports that after the meeting, the head coach of the "Sumgayit" team, Vadim Kuramshin, gave a statement to the club's press service, commenting on the course of the game and the result.
The coach said that the victory was very important and the players fought until the last seconds:
"Although we were ahead by 20 points, we started to lose our advantage in the last period. Considering that "Guba" is a productive and strong team, I expected to have such difficulties. In any case, I am glad that we were able to maintain the winning score."
Kuramshin specifically highlighted Keon Clergeot's performance:
"Keon Clergeot scored 50 points today. He is our leader and we trust him!"
It should be noted that "Sumgayit" won against "Guba" with a score of 117:116.
