A training program for young basketball referees has started in Baku.
The press service of the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation told "Report" about this.
Since June, online and practical training sessions for young referees have been launched under the leadership of Alakbar Hasanov, chairman of the Azerbaijan Basketball Referees Association, an international (FIBA) category referee.
During the training, participants are taught new rules, decision-making mechanisms on the field, and practical knowledge related to game management.
The main goal of this training program, in which a total of 10 young referees participate, is to increase the theoretical and practical knowledge of young referees and to ensure that they officiate in children's basketball leagues in the new basketball season.
It should be noted that the sessions will continue until September.
