The "Neftchi" basketball team won a deserved victory in the main stage of the FIBA Europe Cup against the Polish representative "Trefl". Sport24.az reports that Toni Perkovic, a member of the capital's representative team, told "Report" about this.
He shared his thoughts on the match they won with a score of 92:87:
"This was a very important victory for us. The match was tough, but we managed to win with the support of our fans".
The player also spoke about the first match they lost to this opponent on the road (63:92):
"The difference between the matches is that we started this match more carefully, more concentrated, and did not allow a point difference to occur. We played smartly and finally won the victory we deserved. We never lose our motivation, but this victory gave us more confidence for the next games".
It should be noted that "Neftchi" is in second place in Group I with 7 points.
