The "Sumqayıt" team performed well in the first period of the game against "Nakhchivan." Sport24.az reports that this was stated by the head coach of "Nakhchivan," Nikola Bozinoski, in a statement to the club's press service.
The expert shared his thoughts on the match they won (116:99) in the VII round of the Azerbaijan Basketball League:
"The opponent performed very well in the first period. We also fought well. Although we didn't perform very confidently in defense in the first half, we showed a good game in the end. In the first half, we couldn't organize fast attacks because the opponent had the advantage in rebounds. Later, we managed to take the lead. Then we fought superiorly in both attack and defense. Our local players performed particularly well. I see them as one of the main contributors to this victory. We will analyze our mistakes and try not to repeat them in the next matches."
