"Sumgayit" team lost the match with "Nakhchivan" because they played with irreplaceable players.
Idman.Biz reports that the head coach of "Sumgayit", Vadim Kuramshin, said this in a statement to the club's press service after the match with "Nakhchivan" in the VII round of the Azerbaijan Basketball League.
He stated that they were saddened by the defeat:
"At the beginning of the game, we allowed the opponent to score more points. Later, we were able to catch up with them in the score. In the 3rd period, the same thing happened again, "Nakhchivan" again increased the difference with "three-pointers". I do not switch to individual defense due to the foul limit problem, in any case, I cannot do it with only 3 Americans. If one is eliminated, our job will be difficult. The irreplaceable play of basketball players affected the result."
It should be noted that the "Sumgayit" - "Nakhchivan" match ended with the victory of the latter with a score of 116:99.
