The name of the new head coach of the Real basketball team has been announced.
Idman.biz reports that a 3-year contract has been signed with Italian specialist Sergio Scariolo.
The 64-year-old coach led the Madrid club from 1999-2002 and won the Spanish championship title. His last job was Virtus Bologna, and Scariolo led the team to the European Cup in 2022.
It should be noted that the Italian, who coached the Spanish national team from 2009-2012 and since 2015, won the team 4 European (2009, 2011, 2015, 2022) and 1 World (2019) championship titles.
