Rimas Kurtinaitis, the head coach of Sabah Basketball Club, shared his thoughts after his team's 94:83 victory in the second test match against Kazakhstan's Astana club.
Idman.Biz reports that the expert, who gave an interview to the club's press service, said the following.
"Since we finished the regular season in the first place, we have the opportunity to rest a little more than other clubs. Although this is good on the one hand, on the other hand, basketball players may lose their game rhythm. For this reason, we decided to hold test matches with Kazakhstan's Astana BC during the break. I think these games were useful before the play-offs. We will rest a little after these games. After the date of our first game in the play-offs is determined, we will prepare a preparation plan accordingly. Overall, I was satisfied with the quality of the game. Some of our players had micro-injuries. For this reason, we did not use their services. As every year, this season we will fight to protect the title of Azerbaijani champion," he said.
