"Quba" basketball club's game against "Ordu" didn't go as planned.
"Report" reports that the head coach of "Quba", Shahriyar Asgarov, said this in a statement to the club's press service after the match with "Ordu" in the second round of the Azerbaijan Basketball League.
The specialist commented on the lost match:
"After the first victory, we wanted to win today as well. Unfortunately, we lost. Our game practically didn't work out. We couldn't complete our training sessions. Because some of our players were sick. Zaur Pashayev was at the III CIS games. There was some disruption in our training sessions. Our game didn't work out at all. At the same time, I congratulate "Ordu". They did a great job. They performed very well in both shooting and defense. We will gather and try to win the next match."
It should be noted that the "Quba" - "Ordu" match held at the Guba Olympic Sports Complex ended with a 96:68 victory for the guests.
