The "Portland Trail Blazers" of the US National Basketball Association (NBA) have issued an official statement regarding the arrest of head coach Chauncey Billups.
According to Idman.Biz, it was previously reported that Billups was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as part of a major investigation into illegal sports betting and gambling.
"We are aware of the allegations regarding head coach Chauncey Billups and are fully cooperating with the investigation. Billups has been suspended from his duties. Tiago Splitter will serve as interim head coach. All further questions should be directed to the NBA," the team said in a statement.
