"NTD fought to the end in the IV round of the Azerbaijan Basketball League against "Shaki" (81:88)". Sport24.az reports that the head coach of NTD, Tahir Bakhshiyev, said this in a statement to the club's press service.
The specialist noted the lack of a big player in rebounds:
"It was a difficult game. At the last moment, we found out that our new player, Langdon Hatton, would miss this game. He couldn't get his license on time. That's why we had to put the injured Jamal King on the field. He hadn't trained for a week. Despite this, the team fought, played until the end. But we lacked a big player in rebounds. Hatton could have helped us in this regard.".
The head coach said that the team has not yet fully formed:
"The team is not fully formed yet. Currently, only four legionnaires are playing. But we are solving this issue. Hatton has already joined us. Another legionnaire will arrive soon. We are not discouraged. The most important thing is that the team fights, plays with desire. I think victories will come soon."
