"The changes in the team in the middle of the season gave us extra strength." Sport24.az reports that NTD basketball player Akbar Mammadov said this in a statement to the club's press service.
The team captain stated that they have become much stronger thanks to the new transfers: "They have fully adapted to the team. Everyone now knows why they are on the court and how to play well. We understand each other well. Everything is going as planned so far. That was the purpose of the changes."
Mammadov also spoke about the preparation for the XIV round of the Basketball League: "We have a difficult game ahead against Sabah. We have had two unsuccessful games against them, but this time everything must be different. I believe that this time we will be able to show our game against them. NTD club has enough strength to defeat Sabah. This is a very important match for us. We are working hard in training. We have already won 4 victories in the league, and if we can win in the upcoming rounds, we can enter the top three, because we are not far behind the rivals. I believe that we will get into the "top three" and go directly to the playoffs."
It should be noted that the Sabah-NTD match will take place on February 7 at the "Sarhadchi" Sports Center.
