"Neftchi" basketball team, which lost in the first match of the FIBA Europe Cup main stage, must work on its mistakes.
"Report" informs that the head coach of "the whites and blacks", Vitali Stepanovski, said in a statement on the club's official website.
The specialist shared his thoughts on the match against "Trefl" in Poland, where they lost (63:92):
"It was a historic game for our club. Because it was the first time we played in the European Cup. Unfortunately, we lost. The beginning and the end of the game didn't go as we wanted, it didn't turn out so well for us. From the beginning of the match, we gave the opponent a 12-point advantage. After that, we tried to reduce the point difference throughout the game. I can say that we played well for 30 minutes. But as I mentioned, the beginning and the end were not good for us."
Stepanovski emphasized that they should look ahead:
"We need to analyze and work on the mistakes so that we don't repeat them in the next games."
