Vitali Stepanovski, the head coach of the "Neftchi" basketball team, commented on the results of the European Cup home game against the Polish team "Trefl".
According to Idman.Biz, the game ended with a 92-87 victory for the Azerbaijani team.
"This is a very important victory. "Trefl" is a strong team: they were undefeated in the Polish championship, having won five games in a row. They also had three consecutive victories in the European Cup. We are the first team to defeat them this season. We are very happy about this, but I believe we will not stop. We will try to win in the next games as well," Stepanovski noted.
The Baku club has strengthened its position in Group I and continues to fight for a ticket to the next stage of the tournament.
