The NBA is actively exploring expansion in Europe, with major cities like London and Paris in its sights.
According to Idman.Biz citing ESPN, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and his deputy Mark Tatum visited these cities this summer to discuss potential expansion avenues.
During their European tour, Silver and Tatum also met with representatives of Real Madrid, one of the continent's strongest basketball clubs, to discuss the possibility of including the high-level team in the upcoming NBA European League.
While no final decisions have been made, these discussions are an important step in the league's long-term European expansion strategy.
