Joe Vardon of "The Athletic" reports that investments in the National Basketball Association (NBA) Europe project will exceed $1 billion.
Idman.Biz reports that, according to the journalist, more than 120 potential investors have shown serious interest in creating a new championship within the North American league.
The project is expected to launch in 2027, and the tournament itself will feature 16 teams, 12 of which will have permanent licenses.
The journalist also reported that the NBA is expecting offers from major players such as Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Qatar Sports Investments.
