The level of the Azerbaijan Basketball League is good.
"Report" reports that this was said by Michael Wright, an American basketball player of "Quba", in an interview with the club's press service.
"I think the level of the Azerbaijan Basketball League is good. I especially enjoyed the opportunity to play against "Sabah". They are a very good team, and it is always interesting to play against the team that won the league in the previous season. I hope we can play with them again in the playoffs," said the attacking defender.
He recalled the match in which they defeated "Lankaran" in the last round before the break:
"It was a very good team win. "Lankaran" team had a difficult year, so it was a match we had to win. I am satisfied with the game of our team. We really won by showing a collective game. I am satisfied with my game as long as our team wins the match. Victory is the most important part of the match."
M. Wright touched upon the game they will play with "Nakhchivan" today in the last round of the regular season:
"Nakhchivan" is a very strong team. Every game with them is difficult. I think it will be the same this time. But if we play strong as a team, I believe we will win."
The 28-year-old basketball player evaluated "Quba"'s performance in the current season:
"We could have performed better. But there are reasons that prevent this. There were injuries and departures from the team. But I believe that our team is currently in the best shape. We are ready for the play-off matches."
