Gianni Petrucci, president of the Italian Basketball Federation, has expressed his admiration for the creation of a European basketball league under the auspices of the NBA.
Idman.Biz reports that he also announced that the management of the "Manchester United" football club will participate in the project and create its own basketball team.
This will be a new league that will benefit the system and provide entertainment. The agreement also provides for registered clubs to participate in their national leagues.
"The NBA league will create an opportunity to increase competitiveness and expand the talent pool. If "Manchester United", the most popular football team in the world, has already agreed (to participate in the NBA league), there must be a reason for that," Petrucci told Corriere dello Sport.
