The "Los Angeles Lakers" club, which plays in the US National Basketball Association (NBA), will be sold to billionaire Mark Walter.
"Report" reports that the ESPN publication has reported this.
The deal is valued at approximately $10 billion. This is a record for US sports teams.
The Bass family, which has owned the club since 1979, will retain 15 percent of the shares for a certain period of time. In addition, Ginny Bass will continue to lead the club for at least a few years.
